Damon Williams
Founder & President
Damon is well-known in the Houston region for his expertise in project management, public-private partnership finance and the management of disaster response. Prior to founding TouchPoint Strategies, Williams served as the Director of Economic Development & Public Engagement for an urban planning firm, Chief of Staff for an At-Large Houston City Council Member, the founding Executive Director of a municipal management district and District Director for a Texas state representative. He is a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran and TouchPoint Strategies is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Historically Under-Utilized Business (HUB) And Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certified company.

Johannah Thompkins
Senior Account Supervisor,
Communications Division
Johannah has worked across the public and non-profit sectors primarily focused on policy, community engagement, and communication. Her experiences include being a Division Program Manager and Community Engagement Coordinator for a Harris County Commissioner, policy advisor for a Texas state senator, and Program Manager for an education non-profit. She received her degree in Political Science from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and went on to receive her Master of Public Administration from the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service.
- As one of eight children, Johannah’s family is her number one priority and she loves spending time with her siblings and being the best aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Melissa Balderas
Communications Manager
Melissa is an expert in project management, internal and external communications, and external affairs. Her most previous roles include being a Manager of Development and Director of External Relations at an education non-profit in Houston, where she was able to build out campaigns, develop marketing strategies and materials, produce large-scale events, and work with external stakeholders to secure millions of dollars for the organization over the course of her career. She brings her experience in stakeholder relations, strategic planning, and creative skillset to this work.

Desiree joins the TouchPoint team with over twelve years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing project objectives and programs to maximize productivity, profitability, and quality assurance in construction environments. She has a deep knowledge of the change management process, budgeting, scheduling, and job costing. Desiree received a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Texas Southern University and a Master of Science degree in Building and Urban Design in Development from the University College London.
